Saskatchewan monitors Alberta’s daylight saving time plan; may change law

On 2026-04-23, Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Government Relations said it would consider how Alberta’s plan to move to continuous Central Standard Time could affect Saskatchewan’s Time Act and amend the law if needed. Premier Scott Moe also said Saskatchewan welcomes Alberta’s move and expects it to be more convenient for businesses in both provinces.
