CK Hutchison Panama unit files arbitration against Maersk over ports takeover

On 2026-04-07, Panama Ports Company, a CK Hutchison unit, launched arbitration against Maersk over the takeover of two ports near the Panama Canal. PPC said Maersk breached a long-term contract by siding with Panamanian authorities in the dispute over Balboa and Cristobal port operations. The arbitration is to be held in London.
