Ohio police and teachers join to oppose property tax abolishment

On 2026-04-17, Ohioans to Protect Public Services formed a coalition in Ohio to oppose a proposed constitutional amendment to abolish property taxes. The group, backed by more than 65 local official, library, business, trade, union, police, and teacher organizations, said it would push back on the amendment effort and highlight the public services funded by property taxes.
