BC Premier David Eby pressures Ottawa to resolve Canada–U.S. lumber dispute

On 2026-04-10, British Columbia Premier David Eby said he would keep pressure on Ottawa to make resolving the Canada-U.S. softwood lumber dispute a top priority. He made the remarks to forest industry leaders in British Columbia as the federal government approached renegotiation of the Canada-U.S.-Mexico trade agreement.
