Bhopal Police stop Congress leaders en route to Raisen kisan mela

On 2026-04-13, police stopped Congress leaders led by state party president Jitu Patwari at Patel Nagar on the outskirts of Bhopal while they were en route to Raisen for the Kisan Mela. Police set up barricades and deployed a large force and water cannon to prevent them from proceeding. The leaders argued with police, but no violence or fatalities were reported.
