Sumitomo Electric Wiring breaks ground on $17 million plant expansion

On 2026-04-23, Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc. was reported to have broken ground on a $17 million expansion of its Franklin facility in Franklin, Kentucky. The project is expected to create more than 70 full-time jobs and expand production capacity at the plant.
