Uzbekistan backs China-Pakistan initiative on Gulf and Middle East, says FM

On 2026-04-03, Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov said Uzbekistan supports the five-point initiative for restoring peace and stability in the Gulf and Middle East proposed by China and Pakistan. He made the remarks during a phone call with Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and both sides stressed resolving the crisis through dialogue and diplomatic efforts.
