Lithuania investigates 30 cases of Belarus cigarette smuggling via balloons

On 2026-04-02, Lithuanian authorities said they were investigating more than 30 pretrial cases of cigarette smuggling by balloon from Belarus, with about 90 suspects identified. Prosecutor General Nida Grunskienė also said 20 related cases had already concluded in court, with over 30 people convicted and sentenced.
