Crab harvesters protest outside Argentia wharf over crab price concerns

On 2026-04-06, crab harvesters protested outside the Port of Argentia wharf in Argentia, Newfoundland and Labrador, over concerns about crab prices this season. Around 20 vehicles were parked outside the navy dock, and RCMP cars were present to monitor the situation. Protesters remained in their vehicles because of heavy rain; the union said the action was not organized by it.
