China's PLA conducts air and naval drills around Taiwan waters and airspace

On 2026-04-29, Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense reported that the PLA conducted air and naval activity around Taiwan over the preceding 24 hours. It detected 10 PLA aircraft, 11 PLAN ships, and 1 official ship operating around Taiwan, with 9 aircraft crossing the median line and entering Taiwan's ADIZ. ROC forces monitored the activity and responded with aircraft, navy ships, and coastal missile systems.
