Namibia approves Film and Creative City to boost creative industry

On 2026-04-17, the Namibian Cabinet approved the establishment of a Film and Creative City, according to Information and Communication Technology Minister Emma Theofelus. The decision was presented as part of the government's effort to advance and prioritize the culture and creative industries sector for economic growth, job creation, and cultural preservation in Namibia.
