Minority groups call for action after xenophobic attacks on Ghanaians in South Africa

On 2026-04-30, Ghana’s Minority Caucus on Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee called on the South African government to ensure arrests and prosecution over xenophobic attacks on Ghanaians in South Africa. The statement also urged direct engagement between the Ghanaian and South African presidents and escalation to the African Union.
