Energy Vault to acquire 850MW BESS portfolio in Japan

On 2026-04-10, Energy Vault signed a binding agreement to acquire an 850MW battery energy storage system portfolio from a domestic energy storage developer in Japan. The portfolio includes 350MW of projects in advanced development, with construction expected to start in H2 2027 and operations in H2 2028.
