Oman and Iran begin talks to regulate shipping in the Strait of Hormuz

On 2026-04-05, diplomatic representatives of Iran and Oman held preliminary talks in Muscat on possible regulation of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. According to Oman News Agency, the meeting was held at deputy foreign minister level with specialists from both sides and focused on maritime security and coordination of vessel traffic.
