India’s Ministry of Defence fully utilizes Rs. 1.86 lakh crore capital budget for FY 2025-26

On 2026-04-02, India’s Ministry of Defence announced that it had fully utilized its Rs 1.86 lakh crore capital outlay for Defence Services at the revised estimates stage for FY 2025-26. The ministry said the overall Defence Budget utilization, including civil, pensions, and other items, stood at 99.62% of final allocation. The announcement was attributed to the Ministry of Defence and its finance, acquisition, services, and accounts units.
