Indonesia says Hajj pilgrims safe despite Middle East tensions

On 2026-04-21, Deputy Governor of Central Java Taj Yasin Maimoen said Indonesian Hajj pilgrims would remain safe despite Middle East tensions. He made the remarks after seeing off the first group of pilgrims at the Solo Embarkation Dormitory in Donohudan, Boyolali Regency, and said the government would provide security guarantees during the pilgrimage.
