Hannah Yeoh says 163 non-Muslim places of worship built on KL government land

On 2026-04-23, Malaysian minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Hannah Yeoh said in a Facebook post that 163 non-Muslim places of worship in Kuala Lumpur had been identified as built on government land. She said the government would take a structured and fair approach and that federal departments were refining guidelines and setting up sub-committees to discuss the issue.
