Ghana: Constitutional committee chair says anti-gay bill will follow justice

On 2026-04-25, Mahama Shaibu, chairman of Ghana Parliament's Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs, said in Accra that the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, 2026, would be considered with principles of justice, fairness, and human dignity. He also said Parliament was mindful of Ghana's treaty obligations and that the next stage of consideration should proceed expeditiously.
