Lismore to replace tractor-driven flood pump after flood damage

On 2026-04-07, Lismore City Council said it had awarded Alder the contract to replace the tractor-driven flood pump at Magellan Street pump station and to build a new pump station at Snow Street in South Lismore. The project includes two new submersible electric pumps with combined capacity of 1000L/second, up from 600L/second, to improve flood resilience and keep evacuation routes open longer.
