Czech PM Babiš says first steps to nationalise ČEZ at June meeting

On 2026-04-14, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš said the government would take the first steps toward nationalising ČEZ at the company’s June annual general meeting. The state already holds about 70% of the energy company and said full control is intended by the end of the 2029 electoral term.
