On 2026-04-23, Malaysia reported that a cloud seeding operation in Johor was successful in producing rainfall in dry catchment areas. The operation, conducted by the Malaysian Meteorological Department with air force support, targeted areas including Seluyut Dam, Lok Heng Cluster, and Upper/Lower Layang. Officials said rainfall of 5mm to 40mm was recorded in parts of Johor.
