Energy watchdog committee seeks more time on Sh12 billion fuel scandal probe

On 2026-04-14, Kenya's National Assembly Energy Committee sought more time to conclude its investigation into the Sh12 billion fuel importation scandal and finalize its report. Committee chair David Gikaria said the committee planned to write to Speaker Moses Wetang’ula to seek approval to sit the next day and finish hearings.
