Federal judge blocks Arkansas social media law

On 2026-04-21, a federal judge in Arkansas blocked the state's Social Media Safety Act, ruling that Act 900 violated the Constitution. The ruling stopped enforcement of the state law affecting social media companies and teen/kid access rules. Attorney General Tim Griffin had already appealed a similar ruling on an earlier version of the law.
