Cambodia’s Manet tells China’s Wang Dong peaceful resolution of border issues commitment

On 2026-04-23, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet hosted Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Chinese Defence Minister Dong Jun in Phnom Penh. He told the visiting Chinese ministers that Cambodia remains committed to peacefully resolving the Cambodia-Thailand border issue in line with international law and existing agreements, and the sides also discussed broader cooperation. The meeting was held as part of the first Cambodia-China 2+2 Strategic Dialogue mechanism.
