Azerbaijan and Armenia parliamentary speakers meet and hold talks in Istanbul

On 2026-04-17, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova and President of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan held bilateral talks in Istanbul during the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. The speakers discussed peace and stability, normalization of relations, and expanding trade ties, and agreed to continue parliamentary contacts.
