Syria’s President al-Sharaa meets Qatar’s Emir in Doha

On 2026-04-22, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani hosted Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa for a meeting in Doha. The two sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations, especially in economic, investment, and trade connectivity fields, and coordinated on regional developments. The meeting was attended by senior foreign policy officials from both countries.
