France launches €240 million plan for heat-pump chargers to cut fossil fuel use

On 2026-04-10, the French government launched a €240 million plan to support heat pumps and EV charging infrastructure in order to cut fossil fuel use. The policy aims to accelerate electrification of transport and buildings and reduce fossil fuel dependence from 60% to 40% by 2030. The measure was announced as a national energy transition policy.
