Saskatchewan community bands together to fight rising waters

On 2026-04-25, residents in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan, mobilized to respond to rising waters and flooding near Highway 301. More than 100 volunteers, students, and local businesses helped place sandbags as snowmelt and a winter storm raised water levels across parts of the province.
