Nigeria federal government adopts Imo OKOBI initiative to tackle unemployment

On 2026-04-23, the Federal Government of Nigeria approved a nationwide scale-up of Imo State's 'One Kindred, One Business Initiative' (OKOBI) as part of its unemployment and grassroots economic development strategy. The announcement was made by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the launch of the OKOBI Students' Club in Owerri.
