Zimbabwe launches new reforms to revive its agriculture sector

On 2026-04-09, the Government of Zimbabwe unveiled reforms to reduce the cost of doing business in agriculture. The measures include removing fish harvest fees, eliminating import licensing requirements for agricultural equipment spare parts, and rationalizing licences and fees under the Agricultural Marketing Authority. Officials said the changes are intended to lower regulatory costs and support productivity, farmers, transporters, agro-processors, and SMEs.
