Tanzania sets up dedicated fund for youth-owned startups

On 2026-04-10, Tanzania announced it would allocate a dedicated fund to provide capital to youth-owned startups through the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology. President Samia Suluhu Hassan made the announcement in Dodoma during the launch of 758 communication towers and fibre optic backbone connections. The measure is intended to support startup growth and digital market participation.
