FCC bars foreign-made routers in updated Covered List order

On 2026-04-06, the FCC added all foreign-made routers to its Covered List, blocking new consumer-grade routers produced abroad from FCC equipment authorization and effectively barring their import, marketing, and sale in the United States. The order also allows producers to seek an 18-month exception.
