Connecticut rolls out new way to join court proceedings, lawmakers praise

On 2026-04-20, the Connecticut Judicial Branch developed and rolled out a new page to let residents join some court proceedings remotely, following conversations earlier this session with Senate President Pro Tempore Martin M. Looney and Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff. The lawmakers praised the option as a way to reduce residents’ exposure to ICE raids at courthouses and to make courthouse access feel safer.
