Putnam County farmland permanently protected via Florida conservation easement deal

On 2026-04-06, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services announced that the Etoniah Creek Tract in Putnam County, Florida, had been preserved through a $1,130,000 conservation easement. The roughly 390-acre cattle and timber property was placed under permanent protection to limit development and protect wetlands and a buffer along Etoniah Creek.
