Petroleum Ministry unveils framework to expand PNG pipeline network

On 2026-04-12, the Government of India’s Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry notified the Natural Gas and Petroleum Products Distribution Order, 2026, creating a streamlined framework for laying and expanding PNG pipelines. The ministry said the measure is intended to accelerate PNG network growth, improve last-mile connectivity, and strengthen energy security.
