Hidroelectrica receives financing for large battery storage project in Romania

On 2026-04-23, Hidroelectrica signed non-reimbursable financing worth RON 43.37 million for its largest battery storage project to date. The project will add 64 MW and 256 MWh of storage capacity and is intended to improve balancing and flexibility in Romania’s national power system.
