China installs reactor vessel at third Zhangzhou nuclear unit

On 2026-04-23, China National Nuclear Corporation said the reactor pressure vessel was installed at Zhangzhou Unit 3 in Fujian province. The installation marks a key construction milestone for the Hualong One nuclear project and precedes later main-pipeline welding and other final build steps. Once fully completed, the six-unit plant is expected to supply large-scale electricity to Xiamen and Zhangzhou.
