Nigerian troops seize massive ammunition and bomb parts on Kaduna–Jos highway

On 2026-04-16, Nigerian Army troops under Joint Task Force Operation ENDURING PEACE intercepted a large cache of ammunition and suspected bomb-making materials along the Manchok-Jos road in Kaduna State. Soldiers reportedly stopped a commercial vehicle near Boys Science Secondary School and recovered 569 rounds of 12.7mm anti-aircraft ammunition, several high-velocity warheads, and 189 empty shells of 7.62mm special ammunition. No fatalities were reported.
