On 2026-04-19, Austrian police confirmed rat poison in a jar of HiPP baby food found in Schützen am Gebirge, Burgenland, after a customer reported the product. Authorities said the contaminated jars were withdrawn from more than 1,000 SPAR supermarkets in Austria, and similar suspicious jars were also tested in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
