Review report urges bringing Canada’s military and spy agencies under whistleblower law

On 2026-04-24, a federal review task force in Ottawa released a report urging the Canadian government to bring the military, Canadian Security Intelligence Service, and Communications Security Establishment under the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act. The report said the law should be revised at the earliest opportunity and that exclusions for these bodies are neither necessary nor appropriate.
