Sen. Markey and allies demand funding cut over national parks censorship

On 2026-04-17, U.S. Sen. Edward Markey and 15 Senate colleagues sent a letter urging that future appropriations not fund enforcement of an executive order removing certain content from national parks. They asked the Senate Appropriations Committee to prohibit the spending and to require review and reporting on NPS content changes.
