MK Stalin postpones constituency delimitation for another 25 years

On 2026-04-18, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin urged the Union government to bring a constitutional amendment to postpone constituency delimitation for another 25 years, until 2051. He also called for immediate implementation of the women’s reservation law passed in 2023. The remarks were framed as a demand directed at the BJP-led central government.
