Pakistan minority leader demands probe into alleged forced conversions

On 2026-04-04, Dr Paul Jacob Bhatti of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance called on the Pakistan government to form an independent parliamentary commission to investigate alleged forced conversions and child marriages involving minority girls. The appeal was made in Islamabad and followed criticism of a Federal Constitutional Court ruling on a minor girl's conversion and custody case. According to the reports, Bhatti said repeated incidents were eroding fundamental rights.
