China urges Taiwan DPP to remove barriers to resume direct flights

On 2026-04-15, Chen Binhua of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council in Beijing urged Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party authorities to remove barriers to resuming direct cross-Strait flights. He said the mainland has no restrictions on full resumption and called on the DPP authorities to enable airlines on both sides to plan schedules based on market demand.
