CACA urges Ghana to revoke Heath Goldfields mining contract

On 2026-04-21, the Concerned Area Community Alliance (CACA) urged Ghana’s Minister of Lands and Natural Resources to revoke the mining contract with Heath Goldfields for the Prestea Bogoso Mine. The appeal was made at a press conference in Accra, citing alleged contractual breaches and financial noncompliance. The request was directed at the ministry to terminate the agreement in the interest of the state and affected communities.
