Arab Parliament speaker leads bid to block law on execution of Palestinian prisoners

On 2026-04-13, Arab Parliament Speaker Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Yamahi sent official letters to the UN Secretary-General, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the IPU president, the ICRC president, and other parliamentary leaders urging urgent action to halt implementation of an Israeli law on the execution of Palestinian prisoners. He framed the measure as a dangerous escalation and a violation of international humanitarian law.
