UN committee urges Bulgaria to register Macedonian group and pay damages

On 2026-04-11, the UN Human Rights Committee called on Bulgaria to review court decisions and pay compensation to an ethnic Macedonian applicant whose organization was denied registration. The committee also asked Bulgaria to cover legal expenses and provide damages within 180 days.
