Toroczkai accuses Magyar of coup against Hungary’s rule of law

On 2026-04-16, Laszlo Toroczkai publicly criticized the Tisza Party at a press conference in front of Sándor Palace in Budapest. He said the party's plan to shorten the terms of office of the president and Constitutional Court judges would amount to a coup against Hungary's rule of law, and he rejected its demand to force resignations of top officials.
