ISRO launches Mission MITRA to support crew safety for human spaceflight

On 2026-04-04, ISRO was conducting Mission MITRA in Leh, Ladakh, a first-of-its-kind team behavioural study for human spaceflight crew safety. The exercise, inaugurated by ISRO chairman V. Narayanan, was designed with IAF-Institute of Aerospace Medicine to assess physiological, psychological, and operational dynamics for Gaganyaan missions.
