TDB-DST supports Casey Aviation under India-UK R&D collaboration

On 2026-04-13, India's Technology Development Board and Department of Science & Technology signed an agreement and sanctioned a conditional grant for Casey Aviation's BE-JTO project in Gurugram under an India-UK collaborative R&D programme. The project aims to develop hybrid-propulsion jump take-off systems and a dedicated test bench for validating rotorcraft propulsion. It is a strategic technology development effort, but not a military test, cyber event, or export control action.
